Lightweight ITC solutions with the innovative smarts to integrate with existing heavyweight legacy systems deliver workflow efficiencies covering the entire patient journey, improving patient care, voice and video, presence status, quality and safety.

Imatis provides IMATIS Fundamentum as a multi-speed IT architecture for lightweight ITC solution for hospitals, municipalities, health districts and home-based care. Our orchestration, integration and messaging engine connects to existing heavyweight systems, facilitating the use of our web portals, clinical-grade mobility apps, wearable devices, health applications and electronic care team whiteboards for collaboration that are much simpler to deploy.

All staff have access to the same user interface, independent of the heavyweight solutions installed. Imatis has developed adapters and integration compliant with international standards, and several of the market leaders of EHR, RIS, PAS and LAB systems, as well as building systems from Honeywell, Lyse Smartly, ABB, Johnson Control, Siemens etc.  We also support the most common nurse call vendors as Ascom, Best, Rauland, Hilroom and Merlon with an easy to adapt integration interface as well as communication systems from Telenor Bedrift, Trio, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Avaya etc. Imatis has developed an Cisco Validated design solution based on the lightweight ITC consept. The solution and the workspace bring teams toghether in a workplace that makes it easy to keep people and work connected.

The Imatis platform has full support for service requests (hospital orderly, technical service, meal ordering and house keeping). The plattform manages nurse call alarms and critical alarms, and forwards information to a responsible role using a pager, smartphone or to the nurse station.

The IMATIS Fundamentum lightweight platform is a multi-speed IT architecture and can be installed locally or in central data centers. The platform can even be installed and operated from a cloud with connected collaboration across hospital, municipality, community care and home care.

The IMATIS Fundamentum lightweight platform represents game-changing technology for staff, patients and citizens providing access to applications and widgets that are modern and have an update cycle measured in weeks not years as is common for heavyweight legacy systems used in the market today.  Among our clients are large greenfield hospitals that have implemented lightweight IT systems on a large scale.

One of the key benefits of lightweight ITC is the ability to extract greater value from existing IT investments, the legacy transactional systems of record, without changes to those systems and with relatively modest incremental investment.  For example older systems that do not possess workflow functionality or the ability to trigger alerts or events can now gain that functionality from a thin technology layer. It allows the construction of single information views from multiple data sources through integration.  Lightweight IT technologies have been successfully implemented across many industries to enhance the value of earlier IT investments without the need for “rip'n replace”  Lightweight IT also opens the possibility to modernize older IT technologies with the addition of mobility, big data and cloud enablement.  Overall it's a very smart way for organisations to transform their IT support and improve their health care services delivery.
